Pairwords is operated by boothcheck LLC.

By choosing “Agree and continue” in Pairwords, you agree to these rules. You must be at least 13 and meet the minimum age for online consent where you live; if you are under the age of majority, have a parent or guardian’s permission.

Play fairly and be kind

No harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual exploitation, sexually explicit profile images, impersonation, spam, scams, or publication of another person’s private information. Only upload images you have permission to use. Do not use bots, outside word solvers or multiple accounts to manipulate ranked results. Report inappropriate profiles or messages from a player’s profile or a game’s chat menu.

Moderation

Players can mute, block and report others. Administrators may review reports and attached chat evidence, remove inappropriate profile content, and suspend accounts that violate these rules. Contact support@boothcheck.com to appeal. Blocking a player ends your active games with them as resignations, including ranked losses.

Games and ratings

The server validates moves against the dictionary and language displayed in each game. These are open word lists, not official Scrabble dictionaries. Guests can play casual or ranked games and keep ratings without an email address. Milo practice is always unrated. Ranked play is available to guest, Google and Play Games profiles, using separate English Quick and Standard rating pools. Connecting a new sign-in preserves your guest rating and progress. Profiles that both have ranked progress cannot be automatically combined. Guest progress can become inaccessible if you clear browser or app data, uninstall the app, sign out, use private browsing, lose your device, or let the guest sign-in expire. Link Google or Play Games to recover your profile on another device. Casual games allow 30 days per turn; ranked games allow 7. Older games and Milo practice may have no deadline. A missed deadline or resignation is a loss. Ratings are estimates and remain provisional while the system has high uncertainty. No prizes or gambling are offered.

Optional coffee support purchases

Support is a one-time digital purchase from boothcheck LLC, not a subscription or a charitable donation. Each coffee includes a permanent, optional profile emblem and a period without the coffee invitation: 3 calendar months for the $1 or $3 tier, or 12 calendar months for the $5 or $10 tier. Local prices are displayed before purchase; the period belongs to the selected tier. Further purchases extend the unexpired period, or start from purchase time if it expired. No gameplay, rating, matchmaking priority or existing theme is restricted by support. A connected Google or Play Games profile is required for recovery. Sign in to the same Pairwords profile to restore benefits. Refunded or reversed purchases may have their benefits removed. Contact support@boothcheck.com for help; statutory refund and consumer rights remain unaffected. We do not promise future paid themes or features with this purchase.

Your content and service

You retain rights to your uploaded content and allow us to store and display it to provide the game and review abuse. You can remove your photo or delete your account. Service availability and uninterrupted play are not guaranteed. We may update the service and these terms; material changes will require renewed acceptance. These terms do not limit rights you have under applicable consumer law.

Pairwords is independent and is not affiliated with Scrabble, Hasbro, Mattel or Scopely. Open-source acknowledgments are available in the app’s About screen.
